1. Scientific Misconduct Rampant.
About 1,000 potential incidents of fabricated, falsified or plagiarized data in scientific research may go unreported every year, according to a survey in Nature. A conservative extrapolation of the findings to all DHHS-funded researchers predicts more than 2,300 observations of potential misconduct are made each year. Few are being reported to the ORI.

6. St John's Wort/ADHD Study Researchers Accused Of Fraud.
On the heels of shocking revelations that top psychiatric researcher Dr. Joseph Biederman secretly took $1.6 million from drug companies while conducting psychotropic drug experiments on children, it has been learned that Dr. Biederman is now one of the key collaborators behind the latest efforts to discredit St. John's Wort. What's astonishing about this study is that all the children used in the study were given inactive forms of the St. John's Wort herb where the active ingredients had been oxidized and rendered useless. This study is research fraud.

The question arises, how many of the researchers who "proved" CFS to be psychiatric falsified conclusions in order to please their masters? We already know that they load up their CFS studies with people who have depression, in order to prove CFS=depression ... despite proof that CFS and depression produce radically different test results, and numerous first-hand reports by CFS patients that anti-depressants did not help at all (or made them sicker).
No one gave me a grant to prove that anti-depressants don't help ... I paid for a lot of prescriptions out of my own pocket, and trust my own empirical evidence that anti-depressants and exercise (which improve depression) have the exact opposite result for me.
